Science and Technology Day
As part of our transition activities we would like to invite your child to attend a Science and Technology Day on Tuesday 24th June at Castell Alun High School. It will be an opportunity for them to meet with some of our teachers and also other students who will be inYr7 in September.
For the Technology workshops students will be working with coding and robotics and also making carrot cake. For the Science workshop, students will be investigating a crime scene.
Students should arrive at Castell Alun main reception area at 9.15 promptly, wearing their primary school uniform, and be collected at 3.00pm. Please could all parents arrange their child's transport to/from Castell Alun? There will be 2 members of staff from St. John's with them at Castell Alun throughout the day.
They will need to bring an apron to wear during the workshops, snack, drinks and a packed lunch. If they receive a free school meal, please arrange for a packed lunch to be provided by the primary school and brought with them.
Please be aware that we will be taking photographs during these activities, let us know if any student cannot have their photograph taken.
Please complete the reply slip below, the Form D and return them to St. John's as soon as possible.
