Meet the H.S.A.

There are six positions on the HSA committee; Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Editor and Purchaser. Each position is up for re-election every two years, with elections taking place in September.  

Current members of the committee are:

Chair - Kate Thomas

Kate is mum to Michael in year 2 and has been Vice Chair to the HSA since September 2014.  She was previously purchaser between September 2012 - September 2014.

Kate works full time as a Regulatory Officer to a Pharmaceutical company in Deeside and also has qualifications in Customer Service and Account Management which have been put to good use with the HSA.  She can be contacted by e-mail at

Jen Roberts - Vice-Chair

Jen is Mum to Katie in Reception. She is new to the committee this year, but not to the HSA, as she has been attending meetings and supporting events whilst Katie was in nursery.

Susan Pemberton - Secretary

Susan is also new to the committee and is mum to Oliver in nursery.  She has a huge amount of experience of fundraising having been heavily involved in the Babygrow appeal at the Countess of Chester Hospital

Treasurer - Sue Clarke

Sue is Emelia (year 2) & Thomas' (Reception) mum. She is treasurer for the H.S.A and has been involved in the events since 2013.  She is the one who holds the purse strings at the moment!!

Co-editors - Fiona Joyce and Helen Dalrymple

Fiona is mum to Ellie in year 4 Was HSA secretary from September 2013 to September 2015 and is now in the role as co-editor.  She works full time as The Sales Office Manager for an LED lighting company.

Fiona is also a qualified marketer which comes in handy when promoting the fund raising events organised by the team. She can be contact by e-mail at

Helen is mum to Bethan in year 4 and has was HSA Chair from September 2012 to September 2015.

Helen works at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.  You are sure to have seen her around the village as she is also the local Rainbow's leader, member of the WI, School Govenor, Church Warden at Emmanuel Church Penyffordd, active member of both Penyffordd Tennis Club and St. John's Choir.
