Healthy Schools
The Flintshire Healthy Schools scheme was launched in October 2000 and is a member of the Welsh Network of Healthy Schools funded by Public Health Wales. The scheme aims to provide support for school improvement by establishing a healthy school climate in which the health and well being of all members of the school community is valued and supported.
St. John's joined the scheme in 2006 and we have achieved Phases one and two. We are not currently working towards Phase three.
In order to ensure that the message and initiatives from the first two phases are still prevalent within the school we will be holding a Healthy Eating Fortnight after May Half Term. During this project all classes will be focusing on the importance of eating healthily, exercising and looking after our bodies.
Please read our School Council Food and Fitness Policy which can be found under Governors, then Policies.
